Reel Repair
Feb 1st, 2017 at 12:57pm

Anyone used Mikes Reel Repair? I need a new cover for the drag knob on a Hardy reel I have. Mike's said that piece is no longer available from Hardy, but he can manufacture a piece that would replace it.

Thanks for any info.

Google up Bill Archuletta.  He's been working on reels since the mid 80's & he can fix anything.  He has TONS of spare parts, etc.

Thanks pj. I actually had contacted him and he sent me to Pure Reel which I guess owns Hardy now.

Waiting to hear back.

Update: Just heard from Pure that they have the part. Great customer service. Sending it to me free, under warranty. All this after being told by Mike's Reel Repair that the part is no longer available and for $30 they could make me a part that would work ( plus I'd have to send my reel to Vancouver!)
