Stocking-foot waders
Jun 1st, 2015 at 7:13pm

Greetings. I love my Cabela's stocking-foot breathable waders, but it's Hell's own picnic getting the neoprene booties off my feet. I've tried wearing them over bare feet and over socks - doesn't matter. Any suggestions besides "yank harder", or is that the answer?

Aside fron cinching the flood belt snug, then
farting mightly to blow off the waders, I have
not an answer. My Simms waders are a Hell's
Picnic too  Sad

Have you tried the plastic bag over your foot approach?

Will try the plastic bag, thanks. Pass (pardon pun) on the fart method.

I can't say there's anything to support this, but my smart wool socks seem more "slippery" and easier to get in and out of my waders than "regular" socks.

Glad you called them "smart". I had clients who were dumber than a pair of socks and insisted on proving it. 😯

Ummm... Smartwool?

www.smartwool.com

They do look rather dapper though, now that I'm thinking about it.

Have you thought about emptying two or three two gallon buckets of bearing grease in to each leg of your waders?  I have no idea if it will work, but I just wanted to see if you had thought about that.  Because if you have, you are one sick SOB.  Just sayin'.
