Comments: Fished Castle Rock and The Blue over in Grant county. Very hot, sunny, not the best conditions but rewarding if persistent...Landed a "hatchery" 26" Brown that was fat a pig.I know it was a hatchery fish because it was missing the edipose (sp?) fin on his back...and from what I am told that is one sure way to tell these hatchery brood stock fish. Personally I was shocked to see the size of this brown, it was really quite shocking. By far and away the biggest fish I have ever had. Many people have told me of these brood stock fish the DNR releases in there, now I believe them. Atleast 6 lbs...not much of a fighter though, he took a #8 wooly worm...black chennile body wrapper with grizzly hackle/red but and of course a beadto get it down. I caught all my fish on this singular fly. I used a weight and lost plenty of flies however. Tight lines to all.
