Comments: Another hot humid day that turned out just right. I started fishing the Doc Smith Branch when I first arrived at Castle Rock. Caught a lot of 6-8in chubs and rainbows on beadhead peacock and zug bug in the deep pools. As I worked my way to the junction of Castle Rock and the Doc I missed two 18in rainbows. But I came back later to the same spot right before dark and caught one of the 18in rainbows on a wooly worm with a split-shot right at the eye of the hook. Beatifully colored fish. Biggest one I have caught on Wisconsin stream. Another guy caught a nice fat 16in brown on a zug bug through a deep narrow channel right before the doc hits the Castle Rock. With the sunset and all, I couldn't have asked for a better day.
