Comments: Canoed and waded the upper river on September 6th. Waded portions of the lower river on the 5th and 7th.Unusually slow brook trout activity near Stone's Bridge was ofset by a 19 inch brown near Cedar Island.The trout hit a Hornburg that was floating dry! Cought several nice brookies on the same fly in Big Lake. Small rainbows on a bead head leach north of FF. Great Trip. Saw a college student land a very large rainbow at another location on the lower Brule I don't think he realized how special it was
