Streamside Report

Bois Brule

Douglas

August 10th. 1997

Weather: Rainy
Water: Normal to High
Hatches: None
Time: 2-8pm

Comments: The fishing was quite slow until the evening hours. At about six the trout really started to go nuts. We mainly were catching small rainbows, but near nights end I caught an immense brown. It was about 5lb and nearly 29 inches. I was using a brown size 12 wooly booger. I was fishing mainly around the old bridge off Highway H about 5 miles north of the town of Brule. The fishing was very exciting near nights end and Paul, Mark, and Cal all stated that the fly-fishing was the best they ever experienced. They also said that it was a pleasure to fish with Westboro greatest Fly-fishermen. Thank you.
