Weather: Low overcast
Water: clear
Hatches: none noted
Time: afternoon
Comments: Three successive trips to BEC have now produced very solid results nymphing with pink scuds dropped from any type of buggy attractor fly. I am using the same small scuds (size 18-22) commonly used on the western US tailwater rivers, weighted appropriately and fished with a strike indicator through deep pools and riffles. I took five beautiful browns this afternoon, including a gorgeous 16" beauty.
A subtle reminder: There is no substitute for civility and courtesy on the water. I have noted a significant rise in aluminum cans, trash and jerky behavior on this great creek lately. Any help passing the good word would be appreciated.
