Comments: Black Earth has cleaned out fairly well. The stream is holding a lot of water right now and it has a tinge to it but overall I think it's just what we needed.
Now if we could only get spring to stick around. Monday was a very good day underneath. Started down by Black Earth and picked up several fish on streamers. Moved upstream later in the day and landed 18 of 23 hookups in about 2 hours. Fishing various nymphs did the trick.
Tuesday brought sun and the best caddis hatch I've seen on this stream in some time. Flies were everywhere for a good 45 minutes. I think it took the fish by surprise for they were slow to react, actually, I'm sure it was the cooler stream temps. But react they finally did, landed several fish in a short period of time using a two fly rig of various patterns.
