Fishing Report

Black Earth Creek

3/28/97

Spent the day on Black Earth Creek, mostly downstream of Valley Road, but also spent some time in the town of Black Earth. Not much activity on the part of the bugs or the trout.

There was a steady rain falling the entire day (pretty much SOP for me), and temperatures were in the 40s and low 50s.

I caught a few small trout by indicator nymphing (size 16 twist nymph), but most of my action was on a size 8 olive wooley bugger. I had a bunch of taps, but only landed one 9 inch brown.

I fished until about 6pm, and saw no insect activity.

Hope the report helps.
