Streamside Report

Black Earth

Dane

late March

Weather: Too much sun
Water: Too clear
Hatches: Midges
Time: Mid-day

Comments: The second half of Match has been about the same as the first. The weather conditions has made things very tough. Some stretches of the stream are better than others at this point. There is midge activity most every day, a scattering of Stoneflies and B.W.O. and as of recently a few caddis. Most fish caught have been on a few select nymphs and Wooly Buggers in certian colors. Watched the DNR shock a portion of the stream yesterday, incredible! We are truly lucky!
