. Comments: So far this year I have only fished Black Earth. I've been out for at least a short while almost every day. The fishing has been very tough for the most part due to the clear water conditions and the bright skies. My best day was the second day of the season when I landed 20 of 27 fished turned in two hours. I know the good fishing was related to the cloud cover on that particular day. There has been some midge activity every day with some surface feeding. Deep fishing with the usual nymph patterns is still the best way to go and some fish have been willing to nail streamers that are fished slow. The warmer weather should help but what we could really use is some rain.
