Big Green

Grant

7-25-98

Weather: hot and sunny
Water: murky
Hatches: midges/sulphurs?
Time: all day

Comments: Fished the Green with little success during the day. Managed to catch a nice rainbow in some fast H2O with a ginger hackle wooly worm. In the early evening landed a beatiful 16" rainbow on a #12 yellow humpy dry fly. Using 6X all day. Later at dusk caught another 14" rainbow in the C and R water at the Green. Many fish were spooked as I surveyed the "calm" water. Lots of crickets and hoppers around. Tight lines to all. Castle Rock was terribly muddy and non productive...hence I went to the Green...worth the trip over there.
